Im not interested in what you read in a book Daniel. Both Impreza books are snided with mistakes. DCCD was introduced in the 1995 STI Type-RA.

The original 1994 STI (sometimes refered to as STI1) was converted from a production WRX and rated at 250PS. It did not have DCCD.

The 1995 STI Type-RA was converted from production WRX Type-RAs; available only in Feather White it was fitted with DCCD and a roof vent. It was rated at 275PS and is a completely different car to the previous years STI.

Theres a big difference between reading from a book and actually knowing your **** from your elbow.

Looking through at the STI1 again it clearly states in the text and in the picture which John pointed out it had a DCCD.

I wasn't talking about converting WRX's etc.

Considering your interest in books; Id have expected you to have read my posts more carefully. The Original 250PS STI (so-called STI1) did not have DCCD. DCCD was introduced in the 275PS 1995 STI Type-RA. If the author of your favourite book insists on calling this completely different car an STI 1 then he is mistaken.

Incorrect sir, the STI RA V Limited came with the DCCD, roof vent, fifth injector but NO red top manifold. The build count was 555 and the manifold was silver, the girlfriend owns a STI RA V Limited so it is easy for me to check.

Another interesting point is the 96 STI RA V Limited was the first Impreza to sell out before it was built, hence the reason the spec of these cars vary so much, some have Aircon, some have Central locking and some even have a rear wash wipe it justs depends on what the first Japanese owner specified when the car was ordered

The girlfriends has Aircon and Quick-rack steering, i enoy the latter and she enjoys the former
