Scoop thieves! MY03 Sti
Hi Someone attempted to steal my bonnet Scoop at the weekend, I woke up at 3 AM saturday and didnt really realise people were out back. Perhaps my turning the house lights on scared them off.
Anyway its my own fault as I left the front grille off during a clutch change I did over the weekend so easy access to open bonnet !
So yeah, the four bolts that secure the scoop at the front were removed but I think they just couldnt unclip it from the back and gave up.
I only just found this out when doing speed on the M20 last night the scoop ripped off hit the windscreen and went flying up into the air. Gave me an almighty Fright! Left a big paint mark on screen and moved my rear view mirror!
Beware people seems more people are having cars tampered with even in a privatre parking area!
Anyone know of anyone selling one for a MY03 STI. Carbon or Blue mica would be great! As the car isnt much use without it
Its strange how the theives knew the car was there and that it was in middle of clutch change

Does an MY 02 scoop fit? just is the aperture in the bonnet the same?
Just seen one for sale and wonder if it will fit. the guy reckons it will but I need to make sure its a MY03 sti syle one but he has it fitted to his My02. So I wsds guessing they are the same fit???
any advice would be appreciated.

any advice would be appreciated.He has a replica designed for the bugeye, the hole in your bonnet is nowhere near the same shape.

Yeah I had found that out via another channel, Its so annoying
Grade a have one but they want like 100 quid and its scratched
Oh well the hunt goes on, most people want them for an upgrade, I want one coz I actually need it! Very VERY annoying...
CCTV and monitoring to be fitted to house now. its getting silly

OK i found a replacement,
Martin at API engines, THANK YOU. Missed todays post but should get it wednesday. And in Blue
Not a bad price, grade A wanted close to retail price! I mean when you put my discount at subaru into the equation

pm... me and il let you have cheap, also got the inner deflector, reason i have is sum1 sold me it saying it would fit a bug eye... oh and its in blue
