Default Read - If you got a flush top Varta battery

Anyone had any problems with the flush top Varta battery with yellow inspection plugs fitted to the Impreza.

I have had one fitted to my impreza 04MY that has leaked it's acid everywhere after only 3000 miles causing over 5K damage to the car. Dealer is trying to wash their hands of all responsibility :-(

Initial Varta test report said it looks like it could have been overfilled. Independent test report said it should never have been fitted to the Impreza anyway as it is not suitable without a battery cover due to water ingress.

Anyone had any similar issues of leaking acid from this type of battery???

If you do have one of these batteries fitted I would advise you keep an eye on the acid levels in every cell.
