[QUOTE=Marko2101]Hi Guys,
does any one know how much it is to get an sti spoiler sprayed at a dealer ?

££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ 's

Why go to a dealer ?
A good local body shop will do it just as well and at a fraction of the cost.

had a clio 182 sprayed by a non dealer and the same thing( sold the car under a car porch so the buyer couldnt see how bad it was in the light!!)
so just want the job done right!!

I would have thought most dealers would send it out to be sprayed anyway.
Dont ever recall seeing spray booths at any main dealer i have used in the past. Could be wrong though

im getting the spoiler from a guy on ebay. looks like he fabricates them himself. looks spot on and has the light in it. only £80 which is cheap. thats why i do want a dealer to spray it so it is exact.

If its from E Bay and cost £80 I wouldn't waste my money paying over the odds at a amin dealer. As its not a genuine part they may refuse to spray it anyway

I hope it is good quality as some cheaper variants are known to be buggers to get a decent paint job onto. Seem to recall somebody posting a similar thread sometime ago where he was quoted 70 quid for a paint job and the painter said he would never touch another spoiler again.
saying that, my first Impreza was a WRX and i had a high level spoiler fitted by a company from Manchester, 400 quid painted and fitted (at my work). Compared to the real thing on my current STI it was much better. The genuine articals bounce up and down like a kid on a trampoline.

got my sti8 spolier done by scooby clinic but to be honest you get what you pay for £80 for a spolier means it will be utter crap.................

will cost a fortune for the bodyshop to get it into shape to paint.........

saving money on the spoiler just means paying more in prep/paint.

I have to second what monkeyboy said. If its only £80 it probably means its a poor copy that will need a lot of prep work which will cost more than what you paid for the spoiler. This car is your pride and joy(probably) and it will look trash if the main feature of the car is poor quality.
I dont know what your budget is, but have you had a look on scoobyworld?

Body Styling :

They are not the cheapest, but the product is good quality and I can say that the paintjob will be spot on because i used them myself about 2 months ago. Its worth saving for!
Cheers Ian

Eco the above:

DO NOT get a cheap spolier; it'll cost you a lot more in the long run. Trust me on that!!
