Question

Anyone got any comments on whether the Car Bra protectors for the front surface area are worth it. I think i saw Stef's car with one on in a mag. Are they a pain to get on and off?, do they scratch the surface if you leave them on all the time etc etc?
If they are any good - where do you get them from?.

Cheers

Oi! Leave my bra alone!
I'm not currently wearing it, as it has gone away for some minor 'mods'!
Besides, I now have a 99 front bumper to go on my car, so I'll soon be wearing the panties as well!
At the end of the day, I quite like the look of the car with it on, it does the job, and doesn't scratch the car. I tried the whole thing on my current car and reckoned it looked even better. I guess we'll see soon enough.

These Bra's, easy to put on but a bugger to get off! especially in the dark.

Enough already, Cue Stef.

Chris.

p.s. I know Stef got his whilst in the States.

Chris

Have you considered having your front area treated by Armourfend? Have a look at the following post:

ArmourFend is absolutely superb
All you see is a line where the protection stops.
I have no chips or marks on my front, lights or arches.
I don't even realise its there now, I just wash and wax the car as normal.
Don't know what its like living with a carbra.

Personally, I always thought that the car-bras ruined the front end of the car (looks wise).

Big black rubberised cover over the front end - ugh!

Stef

Is there a reason why you went for the car-bra as opposed to the ArmourFend stuff?

That's considerably cheaper than the ArmourFend which is about £200-£300.

Right guys.
Just figured how to make my fortune (Sparring with Sunilp has brought me fame).

A bra for the MY01 BUT in the shape of the MY00. I'll make a mint (fiendish cackle!!)

Dave T-S,
Firstly - What a good idea !
Secondly - get some bloody work done will ya !! You're gonna 'go round the clock' on the post meter sooner rather than later ! Your typing finger must be well sore LOL.

Ok,

Thank to all for the replies.

Surfed the web for manufactures of these bras but could only find one in the states who do not make one for the MY99 model and one in Oz that hasn't replied yet.
Thought about the Armour fend after seeing the post on the board but not quite sure about long term effects etc, i.e can i get it off and im not sure how a relatively thin film can protect against a stone that would put a small dent in the panel?. Thought that the Car Bra which i assume has some thickness/padding to it would protect it more.
I think i'd just ask my wife to take it off instead if it's that difficult!!

Chris.
I got mine from a US Scooby dealer in Sarasota, Florida wilst on holiday. It is actually for a MY99, so whilst the bonnet cover is OK, the bumper cover doesn't yet fit my car.
You can contact them at
