IMPORTING/ EXPORTING CARS IN EUROPE
One of my mates works in Italy and is back for a few weeks. He has come into some money and wants to buy a car. As he is mainly in Italy, it would idealy be LHD. What is his best option? I would assume to buy something here cheap and then drive it over there. What about insurance etc?
Any help/ experiences would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Edited to say: it is any car he is after and not a Scooby!!!

The best place for him to buy the car is in Italy. I had a quick look on AutoScout24 ****aly and found Scoobs to be quite reasonable.
If he lives in Italy, he'll find it difficult to get insurance anywhere other than locally for a car that he actually drives there.
Anything else is just too complicated, surely

The idea is that he can pick up a LHD car in the UK (as it will be cheaper as no-one really needs a LHD car over here) and he would then drive the car to Italy.
