I think nothing except the 07 is £500 cheaper than the 06. But u dont get the free £3000 worth of petrol with the 2007 model.

Probably took one or two bits off the JDM spec car to make it better

That could be anything, interior, underneath mechanicals, suspension, engine bay etc.

Not a huge amount on the UK cars:

Slight differences to the lights
Front bumper side vents are now body coloured
Different rear suspension arms (gone back to old design)
Different ash tray with grommet for Aux-in to stereo
different door control switches

I was informed by a dealer today that they do not sell the sti with a rear spoiler, you have to choose which type you require as an option, this is why they are £500 cheaper.

The Sti has the same spoiler as 06MY its the WRX that has no spoiler. The 07STi also gets a new rear diff! Doesnt clunk and bang like the 06MY.

well it just goes to show how much dealers know then coz it was a guy from John Grose dealership that told me, i found it hard to believe myself when I was told, he also told me it's because not many people like the big spoiler look

der......well why would anybody want a sti without the sti looks, they did bring a model out for people like this, the sti-d which dont seam to have been as popular as the dealers thought with them only being in a run of 300 units, you can still buy them un-registered and there are a few in autotrader.

If its true about the spoiler not being standard than all our fears are coming true. Its clear that subaru UK is really pushing to go mainstream ie make their cars alternatives to the BMW/ Audi market. Thay obviously are not selling enough cars and believe its due to the public perception of their vehicles. When I was buying my STI the dealer told me that they were having real trouble shifting the new model especially the new STI and that everybody still wants the last model because it has so much more character!!
All we need now is a scooby with a typical VW dash and interior.
GOD HELP US!

Ordering my MY07 STI next week so the thought of no spoiler has sent me in to panick mode! Just spoken to my local dealer though, and he has assured me that the spoiler is still standard on the STI (Customer took delivery of an MY07 this week, so he can confirm with his own eyes). Spoiler has been deleted on the WRX however. Oh and the tracker is no longer an RAC TrackStar, it's some other make which can now send you a text with the coordinates of where the car is when it's been nicked.
