Default Walbro 255 pump fitted. Map next

yep have fitted the walbro 255 pump to my 03 STI so another mod added to the list, just have to decide where to get mapped, will get sorted after crimbo, although the car feels excellent as it is now

The list of mods since i bought the car last september is:

1, mudflaps.

2, Goodyear eagle F1's

3, Powerstation Stage 2 Suspension Set Up + drop links.

4, Braided Hoses + Ferodo DS2500 Pads.

5, Prodrive back box.

6, Prodrive Sport Downpipe + Centre Decat

7, Walbro 255 fuel pump

8, TSL Green cotton panel filter

Next on list
Remap at powerstation or BR developments
Front Grill kit.

then all done (maybe)

The remap will make a huge difference along with your exhaust.

Bob Rawle is very highly regarged in Subaru circles as are Powerstation.

Nice one

I may be wrong, but i thought if you were going to change the exhaust and/or air filter on a STi then you needed a remap ASAP?

My mate had a 2002 Bugeye STi, and knackered piston 3 because of this apparently.

i have asked this question at a few places like triton, powersation etc and they all said it was ok to run the car as it is, but i will get mapped soon anyway to get the most out of the mods, so should be no probs

Have you got a de-cat up pipe on yours as standard? I have similar mods to yours on my 02 wrx and was recommended to fit one before my remap.
Bob Rawle did my remap, great job good bloke.

Well, i certainly hope they are right... even ECUtek website advises against changing things like this without remaps and explains how the MAF sensor isnt correctly calibrated when induction flow is modified away from standard... something about the voltage possibly being upto 50% out.
