Default Any Good ?

Guys,

Looking at fleabay for headlights, are these any good ?

I figure anythings better than a pair of glow worms !

For that price I wouldn't expect much. Have you thought about upgrading your bulbs?

They may improve the looks of the front of your car... Then again, done badly, they won't

Have your lights got manual or electric height adjusters? Worth asking the seller if they support one of the other way of doing things. Morette, for example, supply different kits depending on the adjustment mechanism.

However, first port of call for lights... (in no particular order).
- New bulbs - even halogen bulbs degrade after 2-3 years and the light output diminishes.
- How "good" are the reflectors in the current lights? Are they still silvered or are they degrading, going dull? Same for the lenses/glasses, are they clean/clear, even on the inside?
- Get a volt meter and measure the voltage across you bulbs when the headlights are on. Should be 13-14 volts or in that ballpark. Light output and quality of the light drops off badly with lower voltages.
