helo im a new scooby owner and would like some help. i have a 95 wrx import and just had a new engine. do i need to get the car remmaped now i have changed the engine?????

Welcome, As long as your new engine is of the same displacement and the original fuel set up is used injectors and fuel pressure regulater etc. Then there is no need for a remap but on your year of manufacture you require a newer or aftermarket ECU unless upgraded. As not mappable other than means of a chip. Fit a Air/Fuel ratio gauge to check mixture is correct to be safe if still unsure.

Explanation mark indicates low brake fluid level.
As for power increase purchase a larger intercooler STi top mount and a Z4 later addition ECU this would see you good for 280BHP. You would need 440cc yellow injectors to replace your 380cc injectors if you change the ECU.

i was thinking along the lines of 320+bhp? what about super chips etc. if i get a z4 ecu will i have to remapp??? cheers bluerigster

320bhp= Apexi power fc, better tmic (late model STI) bigger injectors (550cc),Uprated fuel pump, possibly uprated FPR.
Z4 cannot be remapped but does have an extra port to plug a chip (scoobyecu or esl).
