Question

Mate of mine has these tyres and really rates them for wet and dry handling . Seems they are keenly priced at approx £80 a piece. How long do they last and are they any good on a scoob as he has an alfa romeo gtv (old/proper type)

You must have read my mind, I was going to ask the same question. Have seen them tested on various cars incl skyline R34 and got VERY good reviews for wet grip. I don't know about these ones but I have used other Yoko's in the past on other cars and they are quite soft so don't tend to last that long if you abuse them.

I've had quite a few sets of yokies, but all on front WD cars. Good wet and dry grip (much better than Pzeros), but the side walls flex alot, which is really earie on fast bends.

Stupot - had a set of 539's on my last motor, a lot more hard wearing than the 520's so therefore not quite as good in the dry(they now last 4 weeks instead of 1 week in the summer..LOL). Personally I found them a bit on the poor side in the wet, but that was on my last car which was not a scoob but a mitsu.

After reading the other replies maybe they are ok in the wet? it probably was my cr4p suspension on the mitsu
