Default Petrol

Hi all, i was ready up through various online sites about the use of high octane/super unleaded with scoobs. A fair few quoted that the quality of the UK's reg unleaded is ok to use, the only effects a slight loss of power slightly noticed when racing. What views do you all have? Is there any long term damage running on reg unleaded? As at mo im trying to use super unleaded all the time but not many garages sell it! Cheers guys

Depends what version the car is(UK or JDM,classic or new age).
For my 93wrx(import) wouldn't use anything less than V power or Tesco 99 ron

I see Tesco's do 99 RON and I'm getting a nice pop out the back, coming down the gears with it.

Doing a search on 'petrol' should also bring you up several hundred threads on the issue - it's been covered on the site numerous times.

Mines a wrx import 1997, been using mostly super unleaded 98 ron, and sometimes sainsburys reg but only 95 ron only for convenience. Just seen some others talking about it in new thread in general. M

I wouldn't run a JDM on anything other than super - Ideally V-power - But if you can't get that, then as higher octane as you can regularly find.
