Hi Blaster

if you mean does the alarm sound if the doors/boots etc are opened without pressing the immobiliser key - then yes (I have just bought a MY01). Sorry I am not a very technical person, but everyone else is probably out enjoying themselves this time on a Saturday night! (There's a nice key (inside the car)that can be used to override the alarm (provided you know the code!).

Blaster,

You've not got an alarm - just immobiliser on the key.

Suggest you get one fitted or you'll have problems with the insurance!

the ignition key buttons are just for opening and closing (central locking) the doors in Japan!. In Japan they dont fit an alarm or immobiliser. In the UK you get a separate button key for the alarm/immobiliser, the buttons on the ignition key dont do anything. Jenny
