Better low down responsiveness (AVCS helps also ) virtually no lag, very linear power delivery, great sound (nice turbo whistle )

Depends which optimistic rollers are flavour of the month

You could say about 80 BHP less for the same spool up than a turbo on another car we've been discussing

So the twin scroll can be pushed to 370 and has zero lag. Seems a good reason to go JDM

John, ive still not fully decided Just got to find the first right one of either car. There are some shady ones out there...

Cherr-ching

Shame you missed this one:

Remember you'll lose the scooby rumble though with a JDM, but with the benefits of the JDM (rear wiper ), i reckon that's a small sacrafice.

So can a new or reconditioned Twin Scroll be purchased in the UK ?
And doesn't it have a model number ? How much would one cost with a part exchange TD04 ?

Its not as easy as just part ex'ing a "normal" turbo, there is a lot more than that which goes into a twin scroll, manifold is different to start with and there are probably even more differences, the Twin Scroll turbo engines are a completely different beast in how they work, though you can convert a car to them but its probably easier just to go out and buy a JDM STi

You will need a new manifold, up and down pipe and new sump in order to convert to twin scroll. As has been said, easier to go and buy a JDM
