As far as I know you can't remap a early ECU it's a choice of either having a Eprom board fitted ( A-la ScoobyECU ) or having a whole new independent ECU fitted and mapped like Apexi, Hydra, Gems etc

Give me a PM if you want

As Si says; you cant 'map' an early ECU. Bespoke ScoobyECU's good but the cost approaches that of an A'PEXi.....

No he can't. The standard ECU can not be 're-mapped'.

It can have a chip installed though which if somewhat generic is a form of remapping.
Worth noting that it is not a custom map.

There are a couple of firms offering bespoke mapped 'ScoobyECUs'; but their cost approaches that of an A'PEXi PowerFC so theyre a false economy. If your budget wont stretch to a £600+ solution you can consider a simple generic-map 'ScoobyECU' (as referred to by Andy above; its a daughter board fitted onto the logic board of your existing ECU. It holds a replacement IC containing replacement fuel, boost and igniton maps which are non-adjustable. The bespoke implementations of this kit can be altered to suit but as Ive said: they cost almost as much as a replacement ECU...). Enduring Solutions Ltd seem to have a good reputation and make/supply this kit.

Ok to be more precise, he installs his own chip which enables him to remap it. Its basically a cheap alternative which is what I assume you are looking for.
