Funny how the accelerator is somehow connected to the cheek muscles of the cars occupants isnt it.

You betcha. Have to admit tho i scared myself silly last night. Was on a country lane pretending it was a world rally stage *ahem* and it went a bit **** up. So to speak.

I was very lucky indeed and plan on behaving a lot more grown up in the future.

Be careful mate.

I remember my first few months of scoob ownership.
I found myself going into bends and junctions far too quick. Also thought that the renowned scoob 4wd handling made me immortal. Big mistake! Over confidence is a bad thing, as i learnt on a few occasions.

Drive carefully and ENJOY!!!

You have to learn a few things before you tearing it up the roads you know
The first thing is is that the car does bite and she will bite hard if you mess up, and you normally end up in a ditch/hedge/wall if your not careful
Learn to change the way you drive, brake on the straights and not in the corners, dont lift off in the corners, keep a little power on, upgrade your brakes as MY95's have 2pots and are quite cr@p and have a tendancy to fade if you use them too much then theres going to be the modifications and you do know that your car only has 260bhp as standard dont you? check out www.sidc.co.uk and look under faq, also make sure you put super unleaded in, they have a tendancy to eat engines if you run them on normal unleaded (higher ron rating in japan so the ignition timing is different) optimax is available at 98.6ron (also your bhp is calculated for 100ron so 260 is more like 250 )
Just dont brake in the corners thou, its hard to get the tail back when its passing the front end

I've had my MY97 now for just over a year and my face aches from the constant silly grin; I do 40 miles of great B-roads back and forth to work every day - you city-dwellers eat yer hearts out. What I can say however, is that it would be great if the SIDC could arrange for some of their hard-core experts to train us pussies on how to drive these things. IMHO Subaru should advertise these cars as supplied with a free set of 40 pairs of boxer shorts!!

I've had mine for about a month or so now, and I still feel like I should be saying "Safety exits are here, here, and here, please read the in-flight safety card stowed in front of you" every time I get in it....It's like being in a catapult! I like to take it home to Cornwall, and turn off the stereo, and wind the windows down along the country roads and all you can hear is the furious sound of my feet tapping the pedals, combined with the exhaust and my screaming provides an unforgettable experience every time - in short I love my Scoob! Welcome to the club....
