Default Exhaust advice

Morning all,

Just after a bit of advice. I want to replace the exhaust on my 1995 Classic WRX for something that'll release that Scooby burble.

Thing is, I want to hear the burble but I don't want it so loud that it sounds like I'm doing a special stage when nipping out for a pint of milk and some bog roll. Anyone got any suggestions as to which one to get?

you have a few options,

Scoobysport, Magnex, Revolution, Ninja or Prodrive.

They'll all give you the burble without being too loud.

Keep an eye on the for sale section as people tend to chop and change quite a lot.

TSL grp N.

With just a BB, it's not alot louder than standard, but sounds really deep at tickover.

Thanks people.

So am I right in thinking that pretty much any aftermarket exhaust will release the bark noise that you get on full bore acceleration?

Just fitted a Revolution system(+HKS decat) and its f**cking great (especially for the price).
Any aftermarket will give you a bark noise but for the price i think the revolution is great.Good build quality, nice noise and a subtle design (as in its not a 5" tailpipe).
Although it, like most aftermarket exhausts, does drone at normal motorway speeds.

Default Milltek

Milltek system from Powerstation is superb (very quiet on tickover but a lovely rasp on acceleration).

A quality product that looks good on the car (unlike some of the crap dustbin back boxes some Impreza owners fit).

i would plump for prodrive, just put it back on after using an APS monstor exhaust. the sound was gd but like u said using it for milk and bog roll aint gd or discreet!!

if u c and find a gd second hand pro drive box go for it or if u wanna wait a while i will prob get bored and sell myn lol

Try H&K, I had a backbox and was ideal, nice and rich, not too loud

It still drones? I heard the Revo one was the quietest and with a resonator i wouldn't of thought it would. Hmmm

Im in favour of a standard rear section with a decat downpipe and a plain (not resonated) centre.
