Default carbon fibre ??

Is it possible to get anything made up from carbon fibre ??

i want to make a box to go over the tunnel of the scooby interior so that i can mount lots of switches and buttons on it. I could use aluminium but i wondered if i could get a carbin fibre one made up instead???

Thanks

Carbon fibre is moulded so yes you can pretty much get anything done in it as long as you have a mould for that item

Proper carbon fibre is made up from pre-preg which then has to be cooked in an autoclave (like a giant pressure cooker). Thats why proper CF kit is so dear. Carbon fibre can also be wet-laid, rather like GRP, but it lacks all of the properties of pre-preg; although it can look alright.
