Default Urgent (ish) help needed on MY differences

hey guys, im looking at 2 STi blobeyes later this week ( currently own a MY03 WRXPPP)

one is on a 52 plate one is on a 53 plate, but both im led to beleive were registered in 2003...

now i understand there was an update to the chassis for the 03 model year, but exactly what, if any is the performance/handling/differences between the MY02 blobeye and the MY03 blobeye ( if any )

thanks
tim

There is no chassis upgrade on the UK cars, only car in 03 which had a different geometry setting was the spec c, 2005 is where this was added to all the STi models.
If both are UK blob's then no difference (unless one is a ppp car and the other aint )
Should point out that an MY02 car is a bug eye and an MY03-05 car is a blob eye

that was what i thought, that the MY 03 was the blobeye and had chassis changes from the bugeye, these cars are both at the same local scooby dealer and one is a jan registered 52 plate and one is a 53 plate, making them both 2003 cars

thanks for your help and confirmation ( and no neither car has PPP, but one has some nice mudflaps and window tints lol)

Wouldn't be the keenly priced ones at Days would it ?

I had a look and decided to stick with MY03 WRX PPP. I think the 53 has got PPP, certainly has the PD BB.

it is Days yes, one is well over priced, the other less so, they reckon neither have PPP.

Im gonna go check em out and see what kind of deal i can get, if its not favourable then no real loss lol

glass's guide price is pretty much the same on the 52 STI vs MY03 WRXPPP so you should get a deal close to a swap. There are MY03 WRXPPP's selling for £13999 on subaru at the moment. I can't bring myself to bin my mint 12k mile MY03 WRXPPP Think if I am going to throw more mod money at an STi I want it to be the revised 54 plate onwards. If you are gagging for an STi you can get a dealer MY04 with PPP for only £2500 more before haggling and its only done half the milage.

Def PD BB, and this car was on supports minus wheels last time I was there in July. Don't know what they were doing to it ?

yeah that is prodrive BB.. im not gagging for an STi, hence if i cant get a good enought deal on the car i wont be biting, the only thing tempting me is that my car is 30k and the sti is 28k miles so im at least getting a lower mileage car.. thanks for the input tho man and il let you know what happens when i go to look closer at the dealers and what kind of deal i can get
