Not Scooby related, but does anyone have any idea of what would be a reasonable charge for a clutch cable replacement job at an independent garage? The car is a Seat Ibiza 1.9 tdi. A girl at work has been quoted £330 after an RAC recovery.

Yup. Sounds like it, doesn't it? I'd figured maybe £80 tops for the cable, plus 1 or 2 hours worth of labour at most @ £30 per hour.

Detailed breakdown of costs needed, I think...

well im a mechanic from dublin and they are not that hard to do the cable is about 35 euro and fitting would be 40 so 75 all in thats in euro though
