Default Fuel Conumption

I am just about to buy a WRX 53plate with PPP kit, i currently own a mini cooper s and i was wondering what kind of fuel consumption can i expect. My mini returns about 22mpg which i consider poor considering i drive steady.

That's bad for a mini!!! I have an 04 WRX but not PPP'd, I get about 28mpg. I know it's not exactly the same car but might help a little.

maybe be a bit better on the scoob if you drive steady (depends if its shortish runs etc) if you really give it some expect mid teens.(although I am sure single figures are possible )

I have a MY05 + PPP and average about 30. 33+ easily obtainable on motorway (saw 37 once when really trying!), low 20s round town, and lower still giving it some on the twisties. A lot depends on how heavy your right foot is.

Welcome to Scoobynet, btw. Have a search and you'll find zillions of threads on this topic.

Cheers for that, i have taken the wife today for a go in the car and i think i have changed her mind about what they are like. She hates my mini as its too small and bumpy she says to drive. Think she was impressed by the comfort etc in the WRX although the look on her face when it started up and her gripping the seat when we blipped the throttle was superb.

Glad to hear you're keeping the missus happy with a good ride.

Reckon you'll be about the same mpg-wise as your Cooper-S, although a lot
depends how much you play on boost !

Just told her that the insurance will be £800 fully comp but told her i paid the same last year for my motorbike. Plus it costs me almost £500 for the mini.
