subaru warranty
need some help.
im thinking of a subaru wrx.
but the nearest dealer is 1hr away. and i work 6 days a week 9-6, so cant get it their.
i thinking this may be a pain when services are needed, but i want to keep my warranty.
can i use an independant garage, like my local renault, peugeot etc.... that say they service all makes and models. and keep my warranty. as long as i keep the history correct.
cheers

my local dealer is open till 6. and 9-1 on sat. does it say anywhere in the warranty booklet that it has to be subaru to service it.
my clio 182, could be serviced by any vat reg garage as long as they used reno parts etc.....
just seeing if its the same

Since the removal of Block Exemption you are free to have your car serviced by anyone whom can prove they have the required skills, are VAT registered, using OE quality parts or better and do the work specified by the service schedule.

thats the same for all new cars as far as im aware,
i take it this will be on the EU import your looking to get. If it were my choice, i would just consider taking the car in when your off or something, should the worst happen, and you require warranty work, you want as little hassle as possible mate. Mine has had several engines in so far ( MY05 WRX PPP) and because it was taken back to a subaru dealer that wasnt the supplying dealer, they are now each trying to blame each other....
see what im getting at.... Question is, im not saying there the best mechanics in the world at subaru, but do you really want people that dont know the car or engine working on it. It was deawoo and fiat monkeys that destroyed mine lol, a newly formed dealer
your chioce though mate, i would be getting it to the dealer come what may
