Default £3000 fuel offer vouchers

Evening all...

My vouchers will arrive next week (I picked up the car last Friday). Have any of you out there got them and used them yet? If so I have a couple of questions:

1) Have you been able to use them where you want (e.g. tesco for 99Ron or Shell for V-Power etc)...

2) I think they come in £20 amounts - I normally need more then £40 but less then £60 to fill up. I could just put £40 in but that would mean I need to fill up more often. Alternatively I could put £40 in and pay the rest in cash or put it on the card (is this possible)?

Just wondered how you were getting on with using this offer?

cheers

Mark

okay Mate

theres no catch

It takes maybe a few minutes to use the vouchers coz the thicko behind the tills takes ages

Some Tips i do

1) Write your licence plate, mileage, value of fuel used on the voucher prior to going in - saves time.

2) I always use the same garage - so the guys know me and the car now very well - so things r quicker - they just grin and go " hey this kid won the lottery - free fuel !!" try using the same garage - i have had some Asian people refuse to accept the voucher but then i made them ring the number on the back but took ages to get them to willingly accept

3) The vochers come in £40 and £20 denominations

4) The vouchers have a print number on the front -- get the guy to just dial that number into his number reader machine attached to the till. thats all they need do - then confirm car licence plate and mileage

5) yes you can top up on card or in cash but seriously whats the point mate

if i were you i would go fully free route - save your money. £40 gets you well full up as far as i am concerned and if you need a top up later in the week - use a £20 voucher, again excuse to show car off in garage, flirt with the laydees (yes i had 1 who didnbt know how to put petrol in her car after seeing the scoob which was most amusing - nice), and familiarises with petrol staff so they dont freak out of their pants when they see those fuel vouchers

i have had no problems - im even cheeky and i go over on the vouchers by a couple of pence, then they want 2 p from me and i refuse -- thats their profit margin gone ! hehehehheheheheheheeheh

OK ....

Use the £40 voucher for the first time today. I put £44.50 (to fill up) and then handed the voucher in. I intended to 'pay' using the £40 voucher and then topping up with cash (4.50). The chap in the Shell garage said I could not do this - it had to be £40 exactly or below - they could not take part payment ?!?

Anyway - strange thing is he put the 44.50 into his machine, entered my voucher number and it was accepted?!?!?! Not sure if this is a one off or what..

Mark
