Can't say enough good things about David at APi.
My mapping was done by Bob Rawle, who's reputation speaks for itself. I'm not sure if he's APi's regular mapper, I'm sure David can arrange something for you though. Bob was visiting Api not too long after I had mine mapped.

NS04 - a superb read!
I am taking my 1995 Type RA to David on Saturday 9th September for some "fettling".
Car is prducing 267 bhp at present (panel filter + Millteck 3" decatted system) otherwise standard engine/transmission.
I am looking for more torque rather than outright BHP.
David has spoken to me on a number of occassions, and I have been very impressed by his knowledge + the way he explains what will give the best results.
Looking forward to Saturday
Richard

Hey Richard,
Many thanks. You won't be dissapointed- APi is a top outfit. What has David suggested you get done?
Torque rules; the way mine pulls through the gears now is deeply impressive!

David has mentioned a few things so far:
440 Injectors
Remap for Shell V-Power
Probable replace the clutch
FMIC
Apexi Power FC
High pressure fuel pump - and a few other bits and pieces (of which I have no idea what they do!).
Pic for you:-

Looks good for an 11 year old car.
Today the car is at a dent removal garage - roof, doors, front and rear bumpers being repaired (amazing how many "dings" the car had when I did a really close inspection).

I need more torque
NS04 - car is great to drive at present (handling/brakes are spot on).
But at Loton Park and Shelsley Walsh (the latter hillclimb will have to wait until 2007) I need more grunt/torque.
David has come up with great recommendations - only limiting factors are:
1. Wife.
2. Wife.
3. Wife.
4. Wife.
5. Wife.
6. Budget/££ (see above).
Richard - my wife doesn't understand what being a Petrolhead is all about.

Sorry I don't follow about the wife thing
we're only doing a few ' economy ' mods to make it more fuel efficient
Surely she can't object to that??
David APi
PS holdup - gimme a call, or let me have a number to call you if we can help. Advice is free and no obligation either.
