Ok, I've owned a scooby in one guise or another since 1999 but with the rising cost of fuel, bloody speed cameras and the crap mpg I get from my 03 sti I'm now toying with the idea of a company car. My job entitles me to one and I'll be better off by 2k pa.

The trouble is the car scheme ties you into it for 3 years and I've not got a good history at keeping cars for that long, apart from imprezas. When I sold my 99 turbo, I mistakenly got a CTR and sold it 6 months later and bought the 53 palte STI I now drive.

Should I keep the sti or pocket 2k a year? To many this will be a no-brainer, take the co. car but my heart says no. Pathetic or what?????

I'm not looking for an answer but I'm struggling with the head / heart thing

Can you not opt out of the car scheme?

I could have a company vectra or take a cash sum instead and use my impreza.

I'm opted out at the moment and 2k is still what I would save a year! I do about 20k miles just going to work and back.

Depends what type of company car you get... especially with a fuel card
