I fitted Bigger Godspeed disks using my standard Bugeye WRX 4 pot calipers (Godspeed suplied the fitting kit as well) plus braided hoses.

Worked pretty well too

The Ferrodo DS500 pads were VERY dirty so swapped them for some Pagid blues. Much cleaner, same performance IMHO but a bit noiser round town

You didn't mention if you have a WRX or STi

Yeah I know but that's REALLY steep. Nearly 3 times the price of VAG parts?!

So, you want 'cheap' brakes then...... well, don't look at the Alcon or AP set-ups will you.......

How can you compare standard parts against performance parts , VAG 312mm front discs can be bought for about £60 a pair from a motor factors , so yes they are cheap , Go and price up discs and bells from all the manufacturers and compare the prices , I think you will find the price above is not steep. You bought one piece discs ungrooved , and standard pads and single piston calipers , I guess £225 sounds about right.

Agree with that. Just looked expensive for 2 disks, a set of pads and a fitting kit. I think I may need to re adjust what I think is expensive!
