Won't be the rubber, rubber is cosmetic only, may be the bond actually holding the screen in...Had a screen change lately? Get someone to hose the car while your in it to see if you can spot the ingress...

I had a similar problem when I had a Focus RS. Water was getting in from the air filter box below the windscreen and soaking the passenger foot well. A common problem with the Focus, apparently.
As I bought it new, and having used 2 dealers to "Fix" the problem, apparently over a period of 6 months, I played holey **** to Ford customer care centre. Car was picked up by trailer, and transported to one of their top Dealers, where windscreen, windscreen surround, air filter box, air filter, carpets, & mates were all replaced. Car was valeted, and 2 small dents (carpark damage) and 1 scratch was removed.
Had a loan car, and my car was returned after what seemed like a very long 2 weeks.

Also I got a phone call from Ford weeks before it's service was due, offering me a free service, for all the hassle I'd had off the first 2 dealers.

So, if you bought your car new, get the dealer to try to fix the problem. If they fail, try Subaru customer care. You never know what you might get out of it.

This problem normally happens when the drain channels under the scuttle panel get blocked

its the plastic trim at the bottom of the windscreen i think you need to take the wiper arms off to release it

I had the same problem and this worked for me,
remove the wipers, then remove the plastic panel at the bottom of the screen
the plastic pins that hold the panel in place are a pain to remove without wrecking them,so i just pulled them out with pliers and got some new ones.
With the this removed you can see a small hole that a locating pin for the panel that you just removed sits in,this hole is right above a large air intake for the heater/blower,water going in the intake ends up driping into the passenger footwell.
Long story short bung a load of sealer in the small hole and refit the panel
