What alarm and which classic u guys suggest
hello forum im new to scoobynet and subarus.my car history has mainly been vw vr6 and 4 motion a calibra a orion a fiesta and sadly a nova.im selling my 4 motion for 6500 and wanted somthing over 200 brake and cheaper to give me some cash in hand which pointed me to a subz.you all seem like a nice bunch of proper enthusiasts who no your stuff.so which classic do u suggest? are the imports a better deal-thanks

you will get more bang for your buck buying an import but you really need to be careful when buying one. dont get a heavilly modified car and make sure it has a fsh then get the car undersealed. ive had my import for over a year with no probs and always run it on optimax due to the higher ron fuel used in japan. alot of peeps on hear may advise you not to buy an import but do your homework and for £6000 buy yourself a v5 or v6 sti (280bhp).

Consider a Wagon for the ultimate wolf in sheeps clothing
Ignore all modified cars
Ignore all cars with an owner who is under 30 years old
Ignore Chavs cast-offs .. the neons will give the game away
Full Subaru History for at least the first 5 years then independant after that
Buy a Blue one - Ignore the Mica Pink from 1999/2000 on
Ignore cars with Gold Wheels and a CockLink - the owner is stupid and has no sense of style whatsoever!!

I loved my MY00UK Dark Blue Mica and silver wheels 
This is very "generallised" Imports like V5/6 260-280bhp Type RA, Type R or STi's a "Better" motors but the 205-245bhp (PPP) UK99/00 could be more reliable. but all depends on how well any of them were looked after.
look an owner who is an Enthusiast spent money maintaining rather than a boyracer who just spent on shiney cr4p IMHO
Try to buy with you brains rather than *****, there are loads of cheap good uns out there and some expensive sheds.
