hi guys
need help!!!
ive recently bought a 98 2000 awd turbo sport wag
unfortunatly it is unwell
it rattles for the first 4 seconds at startup and then when the throttle is released after acceleration for a similar time. stillgoes as it should but am afraid to use it in case i damage it more . i can get the engine replaced but dont know if this is needed. am i truly doomed!?
can anybody give me any tips on cause thanks metford

Hi metford and welcome ,2 ideas for you ,piston slap and cam belt tensioner . Piston slap is a very common problem on Scoobies around the age of yours . It needent be a serious problem , try searching on here for piston slap and cam belt tensioner there are thousands of threads on the subject I'm sure
