Hi all, At last we drove the new beast back to back with a evo6 gsr.
First imprezz-ions:
It handles better than the previous model but not as funny to drive as the previous.
It grips like go-kart,there isn't any oversteer and understeer. When we pushed it hard it just a little oversteered and flew out.Front-end grip is superior to the previous.
No contest in comfort because much more comfortable.I don't like comfort but.
Acceleration is a bit worse than the previous one.Kicking *** turbo is not there,it is accelerating smoothly.
But the handling is awesome. It has 17'' 215 45 zr potenzas which gives awesome grip.
Back to back with evo6gsr:
Evo is much quicker as you know but in corners new impreza is superior to evo.New impreza is a rocket around corners.Evo is unpredictable and in slow turn-ins it understeers .But in a fast corner it is also good as impreza.
This is the uk turbo and just awesome so NEW STI will be a rallycar.
Cheers

Pee one.

Do behave!

Do you really work for Subaru, doing a bit of undercover market research - hence all the questions?

Yes i drove one,i drove the test car.
What a wrong opinion kurtw,of course i am not working for subaru.I just said my opinions about it.If i am working for subaru i wouldn't say that Evo is better than a standard STI 5door.

Of course, things may be different since the UK models will not be the same as the Turkish models which you tested.

P1

Thanks for your insight....

I would be grateful however if you would answer some of the questions put to you in your other threads....

You seem to have started a trend of staring a topic, asking lots of questions, and then ignoring them as soon as people ask you questions back.

So for the third time (in 3 different threads) I'll ask you the same questions...

You say you are a semi-pro driver, what kind of driving do you do and for how long have you been doing it?

Cheers

Simon

I think a lot of people are mad at Subaru not because the new Impreza is a little slow or smooth but mainly because it's ugly. If the new Impreza looked good I don't think people would have minded the car being smooth or a little slower. But since the car is ugly and on top of that you add slower and smoother (I don't think that's a bad thing but some people think it's too smooth) then people won't be too happy!!!
