Where are you roughly in the uk?
There are places that do service spec c's you know but its not a car for everyone.
It also depends on what YOU want, if you still want the burble then dont go jap because they dont have it.

So your pretty much talking yourself out of the JDM then?
On the JDM you will get the following that you wont get in the uk car:-

More noise intrusion from the engine
More noise intrusion from the suspension
More noise intrusion from those stones bouncing off the bottom of your car
Quick rack steering
Twin scroll turbo
No burble but a "different sound"
A slightly harsher ride due to the suspension being different over a UK/Euro and other JDM cars.

On the other hand a uk STi will not have anywhere near as much noise intrusion, its suspension is slightly softer, you can take it to any dealer who will service it, and you get the 3 year warranty.

The Spec C isnt really a day to day car, its fun but can be tiring, though I do alot of driving so its bearable for me

Now go and see if you can test drive both, then put everything you want out of the car and everything that you dont want, the UK is the best compromise but do you want to compromise?

As soon as you tune up a UK STI, your warranty goes out the window, so the Dealer down the road will not touch it.

Why not just take your current car down to Powerstation, and get that tuned up?

because I want a white one!!! And because mine has done 50k and I fancy a change. So the big question remains. UK or jap spec. I mean seriously if you all had the money burnin that hole which one would you buy.!!!
