Pounced on by six police cars
Nice to see the law attempting to clamp down on car crime. After leaving the Northants Subaru meet last night I apparantly cut up a police car in my renault clio 1.2 ?
After failing to reportedly stop for blue lights and all? I was then pursued for three miles which is the distance it took them to catch me. A good mile of dual carrigeway and not a sign of anything except what I passed
I was at the time with my 14 year old son who they questioned as well as to wether I had been drinking. So after being cordened off by 4 cars and two vans I was breathalised which I agreed to and passed then bundled into the back of a police car.
Car crime is reportedly quite high in the sixfields area hence the bank robbery type response. I just hope next time any subaru is stolen the victim will receive a similar response and the vehicle recovered.

But is it really more than coincidental . . .I mean if you mention these key words - "Police, Renault Clio 1.2 and STOP" in one thread you know you are asking for trouble . .
True/false??

Similar thing happened to me years ago. I was travelling behind a friend who hit a diesel spill on a roundabout. He got a bit of a tankslapper on and bounced over the grass by the central reservation on the exit. We stopped and checked out his car, no damage done except one wheel trim didn't make it. It was funny as hell. About 40 minutes later we were stopped by about half a dozen police cars in a sort of rolling road block. They came from everywhere, I've never seen anything like it. They'd tracked us all the way through Glasgow on the M8, and it had clearly taken them that long to assemble all their traffic cars on an Easter Sunday morning After lengthy and separate chats in police cars they were satisfied we weren't joyriders and we were on our way. Good job they didn't follow me after that, I was at warp speed trying to get to the Stranrar ferry on time

Sorry mate.... I appreciate it may of caused you mental anquish..... but I can't stop wetting myself with the thought of a convoy of coppers in hot pursuit of your Clio.
I bet they thought you were a threat with that rear wiper blade up in the air.
Regards,
Shaun.
