Default Blown engine scoobys

What sort of money would buy a pre 96 impreza with a blown engine?

and where? (scotland locations prefered as i live in the highlands)

I bought a impreza with some very bad rot on the roof which i think is the result of a bad windscreen repair.

The work involved in fitting a complete new roof skin and A-piller skins is just to much to handle. I just dont have the time cos i know it will take upto a year to put right.

I think i'd be best getting a clean but mechanically Fc*ked scoob and doing an engine swap. Mechanically the car i have is perfect so any help is appreciated

ebay maybe. haggle a price outside of their adverts. there is usually some cars (dunno about scoobs though) with engine problems that are going cheap.

just a suggestion matey.

or

maybe a breakers. it wouldnt suprise me if someone scrapped a cosmetically perfect scoob due to a shagged angine?

andy.

(p.s. - good luck)

i have done a search for breakers with scoobys but nothing has come back... it was one of these web sites that distribute what you want to all the breakers in there mailing lists.

A rolling shell is ideally what i want, no engine, no gearbox, no interior and really a UK car rather than an import. Just cheap cheap..

Just a thought,

The ECU from an import wont work in a UK car? am i correct?

So will my engine (uk turbo) work in an import?

does that make sence.

I found a 1992 bare import shell for £500 buy it now on ebay.... i think thats a bit much, £300 to much

I think it would probably be easier and cheaper to put a new roof skin on your car personally....
