Engine mods for a grand???
Guys I've got an MY04 STi with a PPP pack and a H&S backbox fitted.
I wanna up the power a bit and I've got a grand to spend, what route would you go and why?
What power will it make after your suggestion and how much will it cost?
Cheers

ummm, depends, can you tretch to a bit more?
for about £1400ish, full decat, pannel filter, fuel pump and remap and you'll see 330bhp and a load more torque.

Just have it remaped, you will see 330/330 ish and it transforms the car, @£600-£700 with some beer money left over!
Mine made 328/331 on the rollers after a remap, As a normal 03 STI PPP it made 286/270 , so a huge increase in power and torque for little money!

Where did you get the remap done?
I've been to some 'recommended' specialists with previous cars and have had nothing but grief in some cases.
Looking to research places before being ripped off again

I would go and see Bob Rawle! You'll have to wait a while; he's very busy, but it'll be worth it. He mapped my classic and it's now at 320 bhp/ft lbs torque.

So £700 for a remap and panel filter should do it. Remaps after this will be cheaper cos you pay for the licence on the first remap.

A remap is the way to go, but take note it will invalidate your warranty (in whole due to the performance increase and stress on all parts).
Bob Rawle is probably one of the best mappers you can find though depending where you are depends on who's closest to where you live.
I think Bob is in the Swindon area?

Couldn't be happier with his work on mine. You will have to wait though; he is in demand.
If you're up North or can cover his travel expenses, Andy Forrest is very highly respected too (and currently has the UKs fastest Scooby). Again, you'll have to wait as his services are also sought after.
Both of them are genuinely helpful, nice guys too!
