Hi Guys

I am back, I was relatively new on the site last time i logged on.

I was a bit of a traitor actually, sold my 1995 WRX and bought a Nissan Pulsar GTI-R. Lovely car but far too much maitenance for me!! I still have it for sale. I bought a 2003 Face lift WRX Scooby about a month ago. Had to go back to the Scooby world, as I love them!!

Wanted to ask you scooby nuts a question though.... My Scoob has a Prodrive Performance pack on it, apart from that the engine is standard, can you tell me what it should be boosting at? Mine is boosting and holding 21 PSI if its a hot day it drops to 20PSI.

I have spent the past 2 hours on the blower to Subaru, Prodrive, Then Subaru Head office, and can't seem to get a straight answer!!

If they boost at that, then cool, but if that's too high I want to get it checked out.... save detenation!!

Thanks Guys

Cassie x

Thats way too high for it to be just PPP. That works out at around 1.5bar!
I'm pretty sure that PPP only ups the boost to around 1.0-1.2 bar.

21psi = 1.45bar. Too high for just PPP and too high for the std Td04 turbo too. Is your boost guage working correctly? Are you sure someone hasn't put a Dawes device on it?? Take it to a specialist and they'll soon sort it. I'd drive it off boost till then as a precaution.

As above PPP should be around 1.2 peak, dropping off to 1.1 IIRC from previous posts.

Mike Wood of prodrive posts on here occassionally, may be worth PM'ing him.

i normally hit around 1.2 - 1.3bar, sometimes peak at 1.4 bar (ie in 5th going down motorway), it then drops off to around 1.1 bar at about 5500rpm. PPP fitted 6 months ago on bugeye my02
