Default Mud Flaps. Yes or No?

Thinking of fitting a set to my blue bugeye WRX.

Are the ones advertised on Ebay any good. I've seen two possible types, one with and one without stainless fitting brackets. Anyone bought and fitted these to there cars?

Some pics of flaps fitted to your cars would be good.

we have the ones without brackets and they are pretty easy to fit as long as you dont fit the front ones to the back like my fella did!!! They make a very big difference when driving reducing stones flicking up and need a good clean in the winter months but at least you dont get the dirt splashing up the sides of the doors any more

Got mine from www.scottlowe.co.uk still going strong after two and a half years, certainly saved the doors on my bugeye just having the new prodrive ones fitted on my MY06.

Do it. Saves shot blasting your front doors

Got mine from Scoobyworld, but Scott Lowe has some really nice ones also.

You can guess where i had mine done! LOL.
But bloody expensive so will never recommend them. Not now everywhere else is cheaper!
One of the rare days my car is almost clean too.

I've never been sure. Had them fitted to my 05 WRX for around 12 months and thought they looked ok (main reason I fitted them was because I thought the car looked a little under-tired from behind..). However, when I fitted 18's with a 225/40 tyre I removed them as I felt it looked better without. Also saved around 3kgs..!

These were the flaps that have since been sold. Bought via SN GB for £80: 3mm kaylan (uva filter) with s/s brackets and fasteners. Very good quality. PS my own stickers.

With the 225/40/18x7.5" rims I found I was getting more side stone chips than with the original 215/45/17x7", which is why I fitted mine. Cosmetically I liked them equally with or without.

Get some.
Just make sure you use loads of copperslip on the fixings whatever make you use, cos the black plastic subaru fixings have mild steel nut inserts and rust solid. From your local subaru dealer.

Tiny bit of silicone sealent too on the drill holes for the inner arch fixings, stop any rot if your keeping the car for sometime.

ProDrive flaps, but cut'n'shut as I do not like the Rally look. They were a bugger to cut, I can tell you.

Dental floss + hair dryer + loads of elbow grease. Not that difficult, but strangely satisfying .
