Default new fuel pump

i am looking to buy a used aftermarket pump for future upgrades (03 sti) ie walboro 255.
does the pump come as it is or should it have some sort of other attatchments as ive seen some advertised with some sort of filter attatched.
thanks bob

should come with a fitting kit,at least my classic version did,and they are apparently interchangable.... use the original subaru filter not the walbro item.... walbro is smaller and might cause fuel pick up problems on low fuel/cornering situations...... otherthan that its a very straightforward mod to carry out

doddle...... 15 mins tops, had no issues with wiring needing changing that ive read about on here.... undo mounting bolts in boot area, disconect fuel pipes after leaving car to sit for a few hours after running, lets fuel pressure drop so you dont get a facefull...... lift ou pump assembly with level sensor, unplug wiring, swap pumps over re using original filter sock, and refit, start car, check for leaks, job done

Buy a new one, they aren't that expensive, and it gives you peace of mind. Saving a few quid on an item that is essential to make the car go is false economy.

Oh, and by the way, make sure you've extinguished any cigarettes before starting this job!

think the wiring issue was with some classic kits that didnt have the correct wiring harness supplied. I know I got one of these,(bought brand new from a reputable company) apparently these kits were imported from the states, but it was straight forward to make a connector anyway.
