French police get subaru's..NOT a good idea
Quite relevant to me living in France and owning a my06 STI .
This year in March Subaru beat bidders from other French companies for the contract, and even though the police department is usually very loyal to French cars, this time French offerings were just not fast enough to match the WRX.
156 lucky police officers will be trained to drive these new Subaru Impreza WRX chase cars at the Bugatti racing circuit of Le Mans, in west France.
And now this:
Piere Casstout 38 policeman from Amiens failed to stop quick enough in a high speed chase.
He said "It was the onions round my neck that made me sneeze"

How is training on a track going to help them on a public highway?!
Yeah they might lern a few things from the pro's, but will them train them to chase cars at over 130 on public highways through intersections and busy towns?! I think not,
They should just keep crappy slow cars and but a few choppers!
