£30,000 for a new one? My price reference only includes up to the MY2003 cars; but the list price for the dearest 17" wheel spec car is approximately £16,000!

Beware, if they are the Spec C's that are avalible from Prodrive etc they do not come with the logbook, they keep hold of that untill the car has got a competition log book. eg weld in cage and other stuff so not used as road cars.
They are sold to make in to rally cars and I think they where about that price.

I'd have a spec c from prodrive for that, I was thinking about getting an RA to make into a group N car but if spec c's are only 16-18k I would go for that!!!

The 2003 17" Spec Cs were Shaun; without question (¥3,205,000; WRXs were ¥2,453,000 and STIs ¥2,958,000: the exchange rate was about ¥195:£1)

No its a Japanese domestic price; but I think that that was rather obvious. A top grade 2003 Spec C would only cost about £12,000 landed and duty-paid btw.......... (¥2,000,000 / £9,300 in Japan).

Litchfields list the "Motorsport Edition" at £24k and list it as....
CLICKY
£18k would mean quite a saving, but on a car which has limited appeal to the rally market, and needs a lot of conversion work before it could compete. You probably wouldn't want to drive it on the road.

As tony and mog have said for that price it would be the motorsport version as for the 06 spec-c type ra there were only 350 made worldwide and thats why they demand a higher price and I should know!!!

Motorsport prices will be +VAT (website prices include VAT) but it all depends what people want. I sold Terry Grant ( www.terrygrant.com ) his Spec C for similar money All new JDM Imprezas will need EuroIV emissions testing to make them road legal.

If you phone up Prodrive you can buy a Rally Spec C for £18k plus VAT, and Paul G is correct you don't get a log book until it's been caged, etc.
They're for conversions to Group N rally rules, but they do come with the grey Spec C STi interior, Brembo's and 17" alloys - which you resell on here.

Iain.
How much would you guess it would cost to turn a Motorsport version in to a road going car & what would need doing? New interior? Wheels? Brakes?
Thanks, TX.

Tx to be honest it's not really worth buying the 16" version unless it's going to be stripped as a spares car. We've looked at it a number of times for race cars but by the time you have add parts back in it costs the same as the 17" model (the only on that is FIA Homologated). The 16" model also does not have the Auto DCCD or engine and transmission coolers.
