Default Getting The " Bits" Out Of The Carpet

Decided to give Mr Scooby a good clean today.

Outside no problem.

But when I vacuumed inside, (used a Dyson with Turbo Brush) there are still little bits of grit that you can't get out of the carpet no matter how hard you try.

The pile in the Scooby is very dificult to get down to the root of.

Any advice how to sort this out please?

Thanks

Kind regards

That's the cheap and nasty carpet. My Clio has the same problem. The nice **** pile in the Audi is really easy to vacuum though.

I use a still brush to move the bits around and keep vacuuming but invariably give up and do something more interesting instead!

Just had a thought. Bought my Scooby second hand from a Scoby Dealer, the carpet was immaculate, the Car Valeting Boys must have a way of getting the Carpet right?

Any Car Valeters out there got any advice?

Kind regards

As above use a stiff brush, but be careful not to lift your carpet too much.
Also a good clean with shampoo and wet vac will collect alot of dirt after brushing.

I use a Karcher Puzzi, it's a car interior cleaning machine that sprays a cleaning solution into the seats & carpet and then hoovers it all back out, dirt & all. Bit expensive to use now & again so probably best to get a good valet done and then just keep on top of it.

Nice one Darkdestroyer9,

In your Valeting days, do you know of anything to get impregnated brake dust out of the alloys.

Tried the lot, Wonder Wheels, Poor Boys, Autogleam, etc.

It's like orange peel in the corners.

Any advice gresatfully received.

Thanks.

KInd regards

Alan use a clay bar to get all the brake dust off your wheels.

It's used for getting all the crap off paintwork, tar, tree sap etc..
But is usefull for getting all the brake dust off alloys which is still there after washing them with an alloy wheel cleaner.
Also very good on glass
