Cool Yet another defect to THE DARK SIDE

Sorry guys, after several years of Scooby ownership (WRX & STi5 Type R) I have now gone to the dark side, picked up this mint unmodifed 6GSR with only 14K on the clock....and boy does it go

Aye, was stored in a car collection with some very nice exotic stuff.

I reckon white gives it a motorsport look

Yeah it took some haggling, I did not believe it untill I checked all the paperwork, the 1st owner had it stored with some italian exotica and only did something like 600 miles in the 1st year, and the last owner was a surgeon and he did not drive it to work (hospital car parks are notorious ) so the miles never clocked up, it drives like new and reminds me of the Type R impreza in terms of handling

how does an unmodified evo 6 feel compared to your type R as i recently drove a lightly modded evo6 and it was a snail compared to my impreza

On paper the standard 5 Type R is 4.3 to 60 and the Evo6 is 4.4

But in the real world I'd say there is nothing in it, perhaps when the AYC cuts in on corners the Evo has a slight edge as it tightens up nicely but really I reckon they are identical, I did like the diff on the Type R as I love a bit of rear end action (ooeerrr)

A decat and induction kit would free things up a bit, and a remap would make it mental but I reckon out of the box these are very impressive bits of kit.

This is my old scooby, had it for a few years and loved it

Looks a minter... and with that mileage your laughing!

When I went shopping at MacKay Trading for my Type R they had blue TME... looked nice but I just couldnt get my head round the interior... really didnt like it

Cool looking motor. Does that mean your going to join those miserable barstewards over on the MLR? My mate has an FQ300 and prefers coming out with the Scooby lot

The 4.5K service intervals is a real pain but right now my other 1/2 walks to work and I use a van so we won't clock that many miles up, so its the right time to get an evo, plus there are two scoobs in our street already and I like being different

Yeah, it was a low mileage dark met blue one (but that was nearly over 18 months ago). His prices are VERY high, but a little bird told me that he adds a £1k ontop of his sale price that he will discount if you dont just roll over and accept what he says about it. I ended up getting a £1000 knocked off my typeR and a boot full of goodies that came with the car from Japan that he sold to me for about £200 - one of the boxes was an Apexi PFC

Also, he's a miserable bugger and not the nicest person to buy from, he certainly doesnt fall over himself to make the buying experience a pleasant one!

Anyway.... DanTheMan... nice car mate
