Probably the most stupid question in the world?
Let me put you in the picture first........
3 wks ago i decided i needed to save some money, the scoob wagon had to go . I bought a SEAT leon Cupra (20vt) which i wasn't that excited about picking up (I've done this before) and am still waitnig for the V5. I've had it probably 2 1/2 wks and went and part exchanged it for a UK99 turbo . Here in lies the problem....... i didn't tell the missus . She's pregnant we have a dog and we use the car for camping holidays! So the questions (see, i led you astray the title says most stupid question, there are a few) are:-
1. Does a scoob saloon take roof bars (think not)
2. Does the rear shelf come out (the seats fold down)
3. Is it easy to fit a tow bar if none of the above (i'll just say i'm towing my kart trailer).
4. Does anyone have a bit of room on their drive and a spare bed lol.
5. ****.

Don't be such a tight bugger and take your beloved on a proper holiday with proper warm weather in a nice hotel and then she'll be begging you to buy an STI AND WANT ******** EVARY NIGHT!
Do you not know how to treat a woman?

All i've gotta do is ride the storm til the 5th November when the baby is born an she might lay off a bit cos she's got summat else to concentrate on (lol).... She's out shopping at the mo so i rang here and told her to treat herself after i bought the car . Joking aside she is pretty laid back and i've got a meeting in the morn about a job offer (mo money) so hopefully it'll be ok.

You can out a roof rack on a saloon although it looks slightly odd and you can also put a towbar on (ask PSLewis!). The rear shelf doesn't come out with any ease.
Our first child is due on 26th October and she's gegging me to keep the Scoob (MY99 UK Turbo). I love my wife!!

1 - don't know to be honest, it would look facking awful though.
2 - not without an angle grinder (gather you've got a saloon now?)
3 - peice of cake
4 - hell no, wouldn't get in the way of a good row
5 - yes, and you're right in it

1. Does a scoob saloon take roof bars (think not) Yes might still have one in garage
2. Does the rear shelf come out (the seats fold down) Dont think so but UK models do have seats which fold down but its in the seat not whole back seats
3. Is it easy to fit a tow bar if none of the above (i'll just say i'm towing my kart trailer). Dont know but dont see why not
4. Does anyone have a bit of room on their drive and a spare bed lol. NO

I've got some genuine subaru roof bars for my 02WRX, picked 'em up 2nd hand for £20. Sure they're not a great styling accessory, but they unclip in seconds and on the few occassions I've needed to move something too big to fit in the car, they've saved me from having to hire a van, so well worth it.

Hunt round the auctions and bargain pages. Buy a the cheapest, most crappy looking beat up Volvo Estate you can find. Turn up in it, tell your missus you've bought a "sensible family car"
She'll have a fit and tell you go and get something better. Dump Volvo down scrappers, then turn up in your lovely new scooby.
PS. Remove Turbo badges and pass it off as a GL
Nah, don't think that'll work, don't worry, the front seats are quite comfy to sleep in though

Thanks for the support people. We've just been out for a meal and it was very nice indeed, no swearing or anything. I got the angry face for about 10 mins but then she was ok again. Sweet. The roof bars are for the roof box so we can put the dog in the back of the car, the tent in the boot and the baby upstairs where we can't hear it crying all the way to Scotland. I'll be a great dad.
Anyway, I thought this was a tight Knit (spelling?) forum, cant believe no-one wants to put me up lol.
