Default WRX?

Ive been looking at model codes to see what I have, My code is

Model - GF8CK8D

Engine - EJ20GNW4HD

I can match all the numbers on all the code charts Ive looked at for the model apart from The (k) Acording to the code list instead of a K I should have a 5. Am I right in thinking the last 8 means its a WRX.

I cant match the engine code anywhere?

Your really starting to confuse me now mate

In your last post you said you had a UK version hence the reason me saying that your standard power output was 208bhp.

Now your saying it may be a WRX (Import) sheds a different light onto it, that would be the reason for the higher power output (240bhp)

Im confusing myself bud but I have only had the car for a week, I bought it from my mate who owns a garage. He bought it with a knackered box with the intention of sticking in a new one and selling it on. Hes been realy busy lately with no time to even look at so I rescued it from him. We had no idea on the history other than its a good tight car with no rust above or below. It does have WRX on the back but we both thought it was just a sticker and it also doesnt have a red inlet. I was just doing some code digging to see if I could gleam as much information about the car as I plan to run it for a while.

It would only have a red inlet manifold if it was an STI, early STI's were only available as an import.

If you can put up some pictures we will be able to tell you.
