Import Stereo Adaptor,,,
Just bought MY96 RA Sti and wondering how I install a stereo into it. The current fascia is made up of two rectangular spaces on top of one another. It appears that there's noever been a stereo in it and was wondering if I need an adaptor to fit a standard Head unit (sony/alpine etc).
Also, would the S.E.C.S. Engine Data Monitor fit in one of these spaces?
Thanks

the 2 plates are because jap stereos are double din, if you want to fit a jap stereo u will need an aerial convertor,if not, i think a normal stereo shoudl fit fine with the one plate left in place.

Stereos were an optional extra on the RA.
Mine came over here with a double DIN stereo.
I've since replaced that with a single DIN and above that I've put 3 gauges, looks sweet IMO.
I would suggest you get a multiplug adapter though, then theres no need to cut into any cables.
I got mine off ebay for less than a tenner I think.
