so ya reckon in 12 months time you'll be able to pick up an STI for 15k????
2 years ago i bought a brand new imported clio 182 for 11k, when they were 14k from a uk dealer.
i then sold it 12 month later for 10k (ie 1k less than a 1 year old uk 182)
who to say the same will not happen with sti's?
i dont believe a 12 month old euro sti will worth any less that 18k absolute minimum when type uk's will be around the 20k mark imo.

Depreciation is certainly not an exact science. I've bought and sold/traded in many cars over the years and you still get bummed at trade-in for supposedly 'depreciation proof' models It all comes down to the cost to change. If you're really lucky you could seel private, although anyone buying a private car for c£20k is barking, IMHO.
The fact that discounts are available on most new cars makes matters worse.
As for the 2.5sti value in 12 months - i really can't see this being any different to previous MY Sti's. As for the new hatch making values plummet, did this happen to classics overnight when bug-eyes were introduced?
