*****, on the brim, not another petrol station around for like 10 miles, so put £5 of regular in, had to go over a bypass, i didnt go above 2k, must of looked well funny, poodled along until i saw another station, a BP one, so put the other £5 of ultimate in.

will have to go put some optimax in from somewhere ASAP to dilute it all back to a safe RON.

It's worth carrying a bottle of octane booster in the car for such occasions

 

Ai,JDM, i am going to get me some of those bottles, didn thtink optimax ran out round here, oh well.

it didnt like the journey home, i was plodding at 2k, still in kph,was about 60 kph, it sounded ruff, dunno if thats just cause of the low revs in 5th tho.

didnt like buying the ulitmate, its 97 ron and 1.06 !!

 

It's not the end of the world. If you keep it off boost it'll run forever on it.

 

It will detonate and grenade itself the instant you go to overtake a pedal bike! - not Even a highly tuned engine will be fine, just drive reletively gently, and yes, you can go over 2krpm

It always makes me laugh at the panic and fear people suffer when they can't get hold of Optimax.
Chill out, take it easy and your car will be fine on the cheaper stuff until you find your Optimax.
