.... a sumpguard they can lend me for the RAC Rally?
I'm gonna be driving at least 100 stage miles both before and after the rally cars pass and I don't really fancy ripping the bottom out of the beastie...

I'll be your sumpguard
Anyhow, do tell, why you doing stage miles ?
Is that sumpguard for the bread van ? If so, remind me again which model/year etc. and I'll keep an eye out for you.
Cheers
Ian

No sump guard I am afraid but I did this trip in a mitsy evo last year. Good fun but I would recommend forest tyres because its easy to get punctures and not so easy to change tyres (especially in a forest in the dark!!!!) I asume that you are going to marshall? Best of luck with it and hope you have lots of fun. ps I know someone with forest tyres for 15" wheels if interested

...no points to Watty for not guessing
...Lots of points to PP for being todays clever charlie...
I'm off to spend my summer holiday entitlement sleeping in a cold dark smelly welsh forest for 4 days and I'm chuffed to bits
This will be the 8th year on the trot that I have marshalled on the 2nd greatest rally in the world (after Catalunya) No nightclubs in the forests
I'm out pre-event on the shakedown stage (location classified )
Then Thursday in Cardiff, Friday in Rhondda, Saturday in Resolfen and Sunday back to Rhondda....
Anyone out speccying that sees the breadvan opposite locking/airbourne/upside down in a stage then gizza wave
Oh, and Ian, its an MY97
