Connectors in door pillar connect or not?
Doing a little install job today and came across a male and female spade connector with a white plug on each which looks like they should be plugged together?
One has a black wire and the other is black with a blue stripe. They were already disconnected and not something I've done today. Anyone got any idea what it could be for? Everything seems to be working as it should be. Car is WRX03 and found these just below where the bonnet pull is under the trim next to a biggish yellow connector plug under the trim panel that would be next to your ankles.
Anyone with a WRX03 have a look under the trim and see if your ones are hanging loose or plugged together?
Andy

I 've got a black wire with 3 red and black striped wires and a blue and white one which end in connectors and are hanging loose. My guess is they're for extra equipment..maybe the intercooler waterspray for an STI?

I found these aswell.
Anybody got any ideas?
Would be nice if they were for water spray but I have looked all over and can't find any more connectors that might be for the rest of the water spray.

you only connect those wires together when you need to code a remote for the standard central locking, as subarus now have sigma alarms to do the job there is no need to touch them now. but on say an import that has a lock button on the key and no alarm then to code a new remote you would connect them up and press the button a couple of times until it cycles the locks then you disconnect them.

Yes uk Andy.
Thanks scoobyboy. Another impreza mystery solved.
Well I wont waste anymore time hoping to find a water spray loom under the dash somewhere......Typical isn't it, just about every other car manufacturer uses a standard loom.
Amazing how many spare connectors there are under the dash though. I found another plug under the wheel next to the obdc port and another one behind the fuse box behind the alarm panel.
