Default Approximate cost of a good spray?

Does anyone know how much I should roughly expect to pay for a car spray.

Its currently red, but Im wanting to spray the Scooby black.

Its 96 saloon shape.

I will be getting some quotes soon, but just want to know what kind of price to be expecting so I dont get ripped off

Cheers

Mmmm probably a lot of people with more experience than me, but I reckon you'd be looking at a hell of a lot more than you think.

If you want a pukka job, the engine and interior will have to come out.

Don't forget that sometimes you really do get what you pay for... cheapest isn't always best.

I paid £1200 10 years ago for a 205gti respray (cash in hand) and was shocked at the poor quality - and that was the same colour.

Maybe slightly - but whatever you do try and find examples of the paint shop's work.

Try and get a recommendation from someone on here.

are you sure you want black it shows up every dent and blemish that you may not see at the minute being red, it depends how far you want to go .. like under bonnet in the boot i charge around 1400 just to blow a car over the same colour but that does usually include all the minor dents around the car to do a full colour change inside and out etc i would charge around 3000 because of all the extra work and paint involved ... tbo i would just buy a black one ...

Yep your right, for those kind of prices I may aswell just sell up and get a new one.

Well see what happens. I will probably end up just leaving it as it is.
