Unhappy

Just finished spending hours washing and polishing my car inside and out, and it comes out looking like this:

The car's less than 2 years old, done 26000 miles, and it's just depressing. I've got a warranty claim ongoing right now.

How does this compare to anyone else's car of similar age? Is yours much better or worse?

Andy.

Ouch, not had any probs with the scoob, but it is silver, my last car (metallic blue) was worse than that after 2 years, and it wasn't just the front of the car, there were stone chips along the sides and roof as well

Must be something inherantly not right with the paintwork. My current motor is 6 years old, deep metalic blue and has very few stone chips. Mind you, it doesn't generally come up with such a deep shine when polished, but it's still respectable. Good luck on the claim.

I have an evo 6 gsr and after only 1000miles (one weekend) it had chips on the bonnet and a few on the bummper ,
after spennding around 7 months arguing with the dealer who kept telling me that it was mitsis fault as they were dragging there feet i finally went in in person (too easy to fog you off on the phone)last tues day and played hell with them .......
car is now booked in in two weeks to have it sorted..result
Dafydd

Just donet let it lie phone them every day if you have to just keep on there backs keep poping in to and get them to send some one to inspect the car (independant person )also find out the name of some one quite high ranking in subaru and tell them that they should expect a call from them if they donet pull there finger out .

My car's about 28 months old, has done almost 30k but has nothing like the same number of stone chips.

Do you do a lot of motorway driving in yours?

Got to be worth pursuing your dealer on this.

Ive spent a couple of hours with the Autoglym shampoo this afternoon then gve it a good polish with autoglym Polish - mines a 95WRX in white - when you get up close there are loads of tiny black spots all over the bodywork when you really look - its well depressing - just have to slap on the polish to protect it! Dont seem to suffer badly from stone chips on the bonnet like I did in my Primera - but then i always had to get that much closer tot he car in front to overtake it!!

29k march 2000 car and mine is just as bad as yours! Goes next month for a p1 though but the paint does chip easy. Badly primed I think.

I reckon mine is the worlds worst!!!! It's definately the paint. Here's how mine went. August 2000 bought MY00. Drove it until Feb 01 with no or very few stone chips. Since new my bonnet always wobbled in the wind and no amount of adjustment would fix it. In Feburary they replaced my bonnet under warrenty.
8 months later my bonnet is like a minefield. All the front is pebbledashed! I can't understand it as I never stay behind anything
It must be the way they apint it.

Paul.

I can't believe you guys put up with such cr*p finish after spending £30,000 on your car, just think about that for a minute, £30,000!!!. I recently saw the P1 demonstrator at my local dealers and the whole front of the car, top and bottom was completly pock-marked. This thing was three months old, for goodness sake !!!!

This is just one of the reasons that I got shot of my car.
Just plain ****.
I had 3 front lip spoilers in 15 months and 18000 miles.
I see SGT have sprayed it all up again by the pictures on their web page.
Great if you own a body shop.
